Art Therapy

Art Therapy weaves together traditional counseling with creative art-making to improve the well-being of body, mind and spirit. No experience is necessary to benefit from art therapy. There is no “right” or “wrong” way to make things, art therapy is just an opportunity to use creativity to express feelings in a different way, and to process things non-verbally.

Art Therapy can be fun, decrease anxiety, provide insight, and help process overwhelming emotions. It can help increase a connection to self, to others, and to something greater than self. Art Therapy can decrease stress, help relax the nervous system, and improve mood.

The counseling experience is offered in a warm, non-judgmental environment in which to explore how to use creativity to make healthy changes.
